Currently situated in Amsterdam
“Creative Metal Works”
is an on board traveling Blacksmith’s and Metal Working Shop specializing in Hot Forge work on the Anvil.
The Smith will put his hand to nearly all work -
from repairing large anchors to straightening the frame on a kids bike.

Horses, however, will not be shod

In the Smiddy, metal isn’t merely cut and welded – it’s heated to 1200 degrees and  worked on the anvil into forms both functional and decorative. Not only beautiful candlesticks and fences, but strong axes, tools and agricultural implements. Tool faces can be sharpened, re-set and tempered; axles and shafts straightened; ships anchors repaired and reset; open hearths and wood-burning stoves made and repaired.
New life given to treasured belongings and historical artifacts –

It’s the Smith’s fire that sets him apart from other steel workers, and gives him the ability to undertake difficult and complicated jobs. Once steel is white hot it becomes soft, malleable; almost transparent, and it’s then worked on the anvil into the desired shape. With a sound understanding of the structural properties of metal, combined with his fire, the Smith is able to carry out many repairs and renovation work that others can’t, and create beautiful, functional; long lasting fences, tools and furniture.
